What is MKMS24?

MKMS24 is a natural molecule derived from lentils, thyme and bamboo. These ingredients directly stimulate hair growth by targeting the root. MKMS24 is an active ingredient that inhibits the production of an enzyme called 5α-Reductase (5alpha-Reductase). This enzyme prevents the synthesis of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is one of the most common causes of alopecia. 5α-Reductase can reduce the circulation levels of DHT by up to 98%.


The hair follicle cycle goes through three stages (anagen, catagen and telogen) on a 3-5 year time period. The time span and recurrence varies among each individual as a consequence of a genetic component of each one. There is also a series of variables that can directly affect the cycle’s duration such as a nutritional deficit or hormonal imbalances. Hair loss often begins with the miniaturisation of hair follicles by making them thinner over time. Nevertheless, this is also imperceptible as balding is only easily visible during the advanced stages.


The cycle starts with the anagen phase, the first and longest phase. Firstly, the hair elongates, on a daily basis, for 3–5 years. Afterwards, during the catagen phase, the hair follicles shrink and detach from the blood supply in the scalp- going into a nearly dormant state. This phase only lasts a few weeks. Finally during the telogen phase the hair grows, the hair follicles loosen the hair strand and the hair falls out. A healthy follicle naturally regenerates and reconnects to the scalp's blood connection to form a new hair strand. If the nutrient supply is not optimal, or if dihydrotestosterone (DHT) prevents the renewed connection, the hair thins and will no longer regenerate as before.


In this sense, MKMS24 prolongs the duration of both the anagen and the telogen phase- thus permitting the hair to grow thicker and longer. The effect of the natural ingredients that compose MKMS24 contributes to the supply of the nutrients necessary for the complete regeneration and reproduction of the hair follicle. Furthermore, plant extracts trigger fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF7) which is a protein encoded by a gene that promotes the multiplication of hair germ cells and helps the initiation of a new hair cycle.
