Hair loss for women does not garner equal levels of awareness in comparison to men. However, it does affect over 8 million women in the UK alone. Hair loss may really affect a person’s confidence and so is a hard and taboo topic among women but should be talked about more. We are here to break the stigma around it, talk about what it really is and discuss how to cope with it.
For most people: hair plays a significant role in their own personal identity. Likewise, hair can contribute to how someone wants to visually express themselves. This could be to portray confidence, individuality or simply to be more attractive. However, the effects of hair loss (both partial and full) can substantially impact upon a person’s psychological well-being.
